A New Princess X80 for Sale in Europe — the One Exception to the Order Book

Is there a brand new Princess X80 available in Europe? Normally the answer would be no — "new" and "available" contradict each other, because a new X80 exists only once someone has ordered it and waited for it. Right now there is one exception: hull X80188, unused, fully specified, nearing completion at the Princess yard in Plymouth, and for sale through a licensed Princess representative. It is listed at anewyacht.com/offers/princess-x80-hull-x80188.

New, not used — what that means here

This is not a lightly-used boat being called new. X80188 has never been delivered. She was built against a private order, her specification — V5 — was chosen by that buyer down to the colour scheme and the fabrics, and the options fitted to her are already paid for. The original owner's circumstances changed before handover, which is the only reason she can be bought at all.

Specified for the Mediterranean, and beyond it

For a buyer thinking about warm-water cruising, the specification reads as if it were written for it: air conditioning built to the Gulf standard and rated to 50°C, twin Kohler 28 kW generators with automatic paralleling to run it, Vector Fin stabilisation that works at anchor as well as underway, and a 1,400-litre grey water tank that makes long stays away from a marina practical. Sea delivery preparation is included in the specification.

Where in Europe, and from whom

The boat is at Plymouth, weeks from completion. The sale runs through a licensed Princess representative, and the full specification — engines, stabilisation, interior, electronics — is published in the listing at anewyacht.com. The retail value of the specification is £6,747,825; the asking price sits below it and is given on enquiry.
